I'm a fan of events in unexpected places, delicious food, and pop-up events. So, the
Vagabond 4.0 pop-up restaurant at the
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art was a dream of an evening for five of us ladies. Sabine wrote about
what we all wore. Suffice to say, we were all inspired by the very summery heat- the weather was perfect. To make the evening better- one of my very best friends was visting for the weekend. I was so excited to show her Kansas Citys very best face.

We were in group 2 which meant we got drinks first. Bubbly rose was perfect. |

Drinks were followed by a private tour of the museum. |
Each course of the dinner was inspired by a different piece of art in the museums modern wing, the Bloch Building. We visited each piece on our tour.
We ended up outside the Lens 2 event space upstairs in the
Bloch Building. Lens 2 was originally slated to become a restaurant in the modern addition and unfortunately it never opened. Too bad- it has some of the most gorgeous views in the city and we were lucky to have a table next to one of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Then dinner began. Each of the seven courses was paired with a generous glass of wine and everything was something to write home about. I ate and enjoyed things I never have before- raw scallops, fried chickens feet, smoked ramps, squid ink pasta.
It was a wonderful night. I'm looking so forward to Vagabond 5.0!
